I’m a second-year Computational and Systems Biology student who aspires to work in bioinformatics within the pharmaceutical industry. I joined Dr. Hsu’s lab during my first year, where I use computational methods to analyze and visualize RNA-Seq datasets. My current focus is on COL8A1’s role in inflammation and EndMT in endothelial cells. Our aim is to identify target genes that can help prevent the progression of atherosclerosis. Outside of research, I am a student journalist for The Daily Bruin, a foodie, and a K-pop fan. In my free time, I enjoy running, swimming, editing vlogs, and watching movies with friends (old Barbie animations and Avatar: The Last Airbender are my comfort shows).
